This is an old revision of the document!
Required:
Click onto “Sculpting” button in MAIN FEATURES to open the “Sculpting” Menu. The part disappears from the screen. In the SCUPLTING MENU you use “Initialize”. After the finish of the initialization procedure the “Sculpt” appears on the screen.Open the SCULPTING TOOLBAR.
Adjust the Tool Radius according to the local contours of the geometry:
In case sculpting result is not what was intended, simply click the „Undo” button or for recovery click “Redo” button.
Adjust the Tool Strength according to the local contours of the geometry:
In case sculpting result is not what was intended simply click the „Undo” button or for recovery click “Redo” button.
Click onto „Analysis“
in the MAIN FEATURES to change to the Analysis mode.
Update the Modulus (Sculpt) by clicking onto
in the ANALYSIS MENU.
After computation of Modulus field use the „Show Isosurface“ button to see the Modulus Isosurface of the sculpt. You can switch between the different analysis views by selecting it with the „Solution“ show button
. If the Sculpt does not show sufficient modification of the solidification path for controlled switch back to
in the MAIN FEATURES and modify the Sculpt again.
You may use clipping to properly place stencils:
To open the Workspace view click onto Control button of your key beard and right mouse button to open the clipping configuration. Switch the operation mode to “Intersection” if the part disappears click. Move the section cut area by clicking and holding the relevant face of the clipping box and do drag and drop.
Open the SCULPTING TOOLBAR. Select a stencil in the Toolbar. It is placed at the origin of the part. To place a locator simply click right mouse button, when you press and hold the mouse button you can also move and see the actual location. To move the stencil to the locator press “Move to Locator” button in the STENCIL DIALOGUE.
The selection of the stencil out of the TOOLBAR opens automatically its DIALOGUE. Set the locator into the position to be sculpted. Fill in the dimension and location values or click into the relevant fields of the DIALOGUE and scroll to adjust the them. The stencil on the screen will be resized or repositioned according to your inputs. To combine Stencil and sculpt click onto the „Merge“ button in the STENCIL DIALOGUE. To subtract the stencil from sculpt click onto the „Subtract“ button.
For a full stencil the Closed Editor is to set onto “True”. If a geometry modification is to be located out or inside of the sculpt only: Use the “Cap Height” editor to set the radius creates a semi sphere. Use the “Wedge Angle” editor “Closed” is to be set onto “False”: Left (X) set to 0 and right (Y) set to 180 provides a semi sphere around the Z axis.
For rotation operations click onto
icon (bottom part of the STENCIL DIALOGUE) to open the “Quaternion” Menu. 1st rotation is to be “Assign Mode”. Either use the buttons for axis and angle settings or click into the relevant box and scroll or fill in to adjust the desired values.
For 2nd rotation reopen the “Quaternion” Menu. Set Mode onto “Compose”. Use the same function as for the 1st rotation.
Finally you may export the Sculpt into an STL file using the „Export to File“ button in the SCULPTING MENU. You may also export into MODELS MENU by “Export to Model”.
Open “Models” Menu where you find the imported Sculpt. For carry on the project you got two options: use of the sculpt means change of the instance from imported original CAD file to the sculpt open the “Modeling” Toolbar use the Sculpt as a draft for the redesign of the original CAD geometry using the Primitives in the Toolbar use the Boolean operations in the Toolbar of the Primitives for creation of a solid stp Model
